Dr. Volkan Demir

Volkan is our scientific consultant of our diving school. Since his early ages, his dream was to become a Marine researcher. He entered Istanbul University in 1996 to take academic studies on the Marine research. He graduated in 2000 from Marine Sciences and Management Faculty of Istanbul University. In 2004, he started his graduate studies and received his graduate degree. He continued his academic studies and earned his doctorate in 2011. Marine protection, marine ecosystem, marine pollution, special environmental protection zones are the subjects of his studies. Our instructor, who is now working at Istanbul University, participated in national\ international scientific studies in all seas of Turkey.

He has received his CMAS and PADI Instructor titles while conducting his scientific studies. He also completed Emergency First Response (EFRI), Nitrox, Research, underwater Navigation (U/W Navigation), Emergency Oxygen Provider, Dry Suit, Search & Recovery, Night Dive and Deep Dive Instructor trainings to reach PADI Master Instructor level. He is a member of Diver Alert Network (DAN) which is one of the leading organization in diving ındustry. He is also an Oxygen First Aid instructor. Along with his sportive and scientific studies, he has been giving seminars and consultancy to the institutions for Search and Rescue and Sea Accidents based on social works.
